Norwegian manager Skagen has announced that its CEO Leif Ola Rød is acting CIO after Ole Søeberg amended his role to cease being CIO/portfolio manager and just focus on co-managing the Skagen Vekst portfolio together with Geir Tjetland.
Søeberg joined as a portfolio manger in 2011 and added the CIO role in January 2015.
Rød has previous experience as CIO from his overall 25 years of working in Nordic and international asset management. He joined Skagen in September 2012 and was appointed CEO in January 2015.
An ongoing search for a permanent CIO has been initiated by the manager.
Skagen has been growing its fund range and distribution across Europe in recent years, as well as effecting the return of Filip Weintraub as portfolio manager, having previously left to set up the Labrusca Family Office in Stockholm.
