French boutique La Financiere de l’Echiquier (LFDE) has appointed Philip Piltz as sales director for Germany, effective from 4 June 2018. He succeeds Markus Alefelder, who has held the position since 2015.

With over 16 years of experience, Piltz will be responsible for the development of sales activities in Germany and Austria.

Piltz began his career in 1999 at Citigroup in London and Frankfurt as European equity sales. In this role he was responsible for institutional German customers. In September 2000 he moved to Société Générale, where he was responsible for sales in the German and Austrian markets. From 2007 to 2016, he worked mainly for Cross Asset Retail Distribution as sales manager. Since March 2016, he has held the position of Cross Asset Solution Sales in Zurich and Paris.

LFDE has been present in Germany since 2007 and opened an office in Frankfurt in 2015. The fund company now distributes five equity funds, mainly small and mid-cap funds, two diversified funds and a quantitative fund, and uses this range of funds to target distribution companies and institutional investors.
