Lazard Asset Management has opened an office in Amsterdam to serve Netherlands-based clients.
The firm has also appointed Marcel van Ostaden to head the new Amsterdam office, who joins Lazard as director of sales for The Netherlands. Van Ostaden will be responsible for retail and institutional sales and marketing in the region.
Van Ostaden joins Lazard from Lombard Odier Investment Managers where he was country head of sales Benelux for six years. Prior to that, he worked as a sales director at BlackRock for seven years. Formerly, he held various sales roles at BMO Global Asset Management between 2001 and 2005.
