The deal aims to strengthen WMPartners Wealth Management’s position in the Swiss wealth management landscape.

The merger will see a marked expansion in the business activities of both established companies in their core markets of Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The transaction is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2017.

The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Once the transaction completed, Manfred Wergen, founder and CEO of Wergen & Partner Vermögensverwaltungs AG, will sit as a member of the executive board of the combined company under the leadership of CEO Daniel Aegerter. All partners of both companies will remain operational after the merger.

“I am extremely pleased about this cooperation and am convinced that WMPartners, as one of Switzerland’s leading independent wealth managers, will further expand its role as a platform for external wealth managers,” Aegerter said.
