Helsinki-based independent manager Northern Star Partners has appointed Karri Lehtinen as senior portfolio manager, InvestmentEurope understands.
Lehtinen, who started in July, has taken responsibility for the management of the Northern Star MG Relative Value fund, a long-short fund domiciled in Luxembourg under Limestone’s Sicav umbrella. Prior to joining the firm, he co-founded Finnish commodity investment firm Moongate in January 2014.
A commodity specialist, Lethtinen has previously worked at Epl Private Banking and Contango Fund Management.
Northern Star Partners runs two other absolute return strategies : the Global Dynamic Opportunities 10+ and the Northern Star Tactical Opportunities funds.
