Paris-headquartered asset manager La Française, has appointed Kay Scherf (pictured) as head of Sales – Securities for Germany.
Since almost three years, La Française has partnered with accelerando associates to develop itself in the German market.
Some 25% of the firm’s 2016 inflows have come from its foreign activities.
Scherf joins from AXA Investment Managers where he spent ten years and where he held a number of roles including senior sales manager for banks and director of wholesale for AXA Investment Managers Deutschland.
Scherf began his career in 1994 with J.P. Morgan Investment Management as an equity trader. He occupied various positions within the portfolio management team, both in London and Frankfurt, before becoming equity portfolio manager in 2001.
“With twenty three years of experience in the asset management industry, occupying senior investor relations positions (addressing the wholesale and institutional segments) and as a portfolio manager specialized in the selection of Pan-European equities, Kay’s knowledge of the German market will be crucial in achieving our development objectives.” said Aurélie Fouilleron, head of Sales for Germany.
As at end of December 2016, La Française managed around €60bn in assets.
