Klaas Smits and Shengsheng Zhang will be responsible for managing the multi asset fund, supported by the firm’s conservative equities and credits teams.

Smits said the strategy will invest globally across a number of asset classes with a special focus on capital preservation.

The Luxembourg-domiciled fund will soon be made available for investors in Robeco’s key markets in Europe.

Robeco had €137bn in assets under management as of 30 September 2016.
