Pioneer Investments, recently acquired by French asset manager Amundi, has launched an actively managed multi-asset fund of funds (FoF) with a focus on income.

The Diversified Income Best Select strategy will be jointly managed by multi-asset FoF specialists Reinhard Stork and Nickolas Pothier. The strategy aims to deliver stable income from equities and bonds via target fund investments, in which almost all asset classes across the entire capital market spectrum (including REITs and gold exposure) can be covered.

The fund has been launched as investors are increasingly seeking regularly recurring income from various asset classes, the asset manager said.

During the subscription phase, the flexible and diversified strategy gathered €149m of inflows. The strategy is having “strong” investor interest, particularly in Germany, and current assets under management stand at €170m, Stork said.

‘’By bundling together selected income strategies, we have the potential to achieve a high level of diversification for the strategy, mitigating risk through low correlation,” Stork said.

‘’The global investment universe of managers and strategies can thereby contribute significantly to a more stable return and income stream,” he added
