Citi has hired Ignacio Ruiz-Garma as senior banker. He will be part of the private banking team for Spain and Portugal, led by Eliseo Cervera.
Ruiz-Garma joins Citi from KBL Bank in Spain, where he was head of Private Banking, in charge of managing an important portfolio of high net worth clients.
Previously, Ruiz-Garma worked at Banco Espírito Santo, Deutsche Bank, Ibercaja Patrimonios and BNP Paribas, always in areas of private banking and wealth management.
Ruiz-Garma has a degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Deusto (Bilbao). He also has an Executive MBA from IE Business School and is certified by the FSA (Financial Services Authority of London) and the EFPA (European Financial Planning Association).
“Ignacio’s hiring is a clear example of Citi’s commitment to Spain and the growth of the private banking business in the country,” Cervera said.
