Natixis Global Asset Management’s affiliate Seeyond, focused on structured and volatility products, has expanded its MinVariance fund range by turning its professional specialised investment fund Seeyond US MinVariance, launched in 2016, into a France-domiciled Ucits-compliant fund (OPCVM) on 18 October 2017, InvestmentEurope has learned.
The fund seeks to outperform the S&P 500 index net dividends reinvested over a rolling period of five years with lower volatility.
The investment strategy, mostly quantitative, consists of picking US stocks according to a number of statistic features such as volatility and correlation between stocks.
Seeyond’s new fund will carry a permanent minimal exposure of 70% to all-sized cap US stocks while its investments in global equities, including emerging markets, are limited to 30%.
The manager also runs the Europe MinVariance and the Global MinVariance strategy.
Seeyond managed €15.9bn of assets as of 30 June 2017.
