GAM has launched a UK Equity Income fund structured as an open ended investment company, which will seek both income and capital appreciation from across the market capitalisation spectrum.
The long only portfolio will be managed by Adrian Gosden, investment director, who previously ran the Artemis Income and Artemis High Income funds before moving to GAM. His total industry experiende is some 20 years, of which 18 have been spent managing funds. At GAM he will manage the new fund together with Chris Morrison, who joined the firm in 2011.
The fund represents GAM’s first UK equity income product and is intended to help strengthen its offering to UK advisers and wealth managers. GAM launched three UK open ended investment companies in May this year, covering Continental Europe and emerging market equity, and global credit respectively. The latest fund will be domiciled in the UK.
