Kames Capital has appointed Sam Berman as institutional business development manager to be focused on the insurance sector.
Berman, who will report to head of UK institutional business at Kames Jill Johnston, will be based in the firm’s London office.
With eight years’ experience, Berman joins Kames Capital from Amundi, where he was director of institutional business development with a focus on Lloyd’s syndicates, non-life insurers and life assurance firms in the UK and Ireland. Prior to this, he was associate director of UK institutional sales at AXA Investment Managers.
Jill Johnston, head of UK institutional business at Kames, says: “The insurance market is a key focus for us and Berman’s expertise and experience will allow us to fully service the unique needs of our clients and prospects in this sector.

Kames Capital manages £44.2bn (€49.8bn) on behalf of UK and international clients – including pension funds, government agencies, financial institutions, wealth managers, family offices and financial advisers.
