Wells Fargo AM names multi-asset global research chief

Former Neuberger Berman’s head of Quantitative Investments Wai Lee (pictured) has joined Wells Fargo Asset Management as global head of Research within its multi-asset solutions team.

Lee is based in New York ans has held other roles in quantitative research with Credit Suisse Asset Management and J.P. Morgan Investment Management.

“The addition of Wai is another significant step forward as we expand our multi-asset and solutions capabilities at Wells Fargo Asset Management,” said Nico Marais, president and head of Multi-Asset Solutions.

“Wai brings a depth of experience that will be an important dimension as we continue to build out our systematic platform of global multi-asset and solutions capabilities across alphas, betas, and asset classes, with a specific focus on risk premia, advanced betas, and factor-based strategies. He also will play a key role in supporting our firm’s strategic partnerships, working with the solutions team in the design and delivery of customized investment solutions to investors around the globe,” he added.

Wells Fargo AM had $504bn of assets under management as of 12 January 2018.
