Jupiter appoints head of Italy

Jupiter Asset Management has appointed Andrea Boggio to the role of head of Italy reporting directly to Kevin Scott, head of EMEA.

In Italy, Boggio will be responsible for the distribution of the manager’s products, particularly to institutional clients, fund selectors and wealth managers. The appointment follows the decision to enter the Italian market.

Previously, Boggio was head of Discretionary Business in Nordea Asset Management. He has held roles including at Deutsche Bank as treasury dealer, then in Cassa di Risparmio di Asti as head of Dealing Room and, successively, in RREEF Italy – Deutsche Bank group – as COO.

Jupiter was founded in 1985 as a specialist boutique and is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Assets under management were reported as of 31 March as €46.5bn.

It has registered 17 funds for sale in Italy, including the Jupiter Dynamic Bond and Jupiter European Growth funds.
