F&C Investments has appointed Georg Kyd-Rebenburg as head of European Wholesale Distribution.
Kyd-Rebenburg will play a key role in F&C’s Continental European distribution strategy and will be leading the drive to develop and expand F&C’s wholesale presence.
Kyd-Rebenburg joins F&C from AllianceBernstein, where he had worked since 1996, latterly as country head for Germany and Austria, where he was responsible for the wholesale distribution in the country, and for managing relationships with some of the largest strategic partners in continental Europe.
Prior to this, he was European sales manager at AllianceBernstein, responsible for retail and wholesale distribution in Italy, Switzerland, Spain, France, Scandinavia, Germany and Austria.
He will be responsible for increasing F&C’s coverage across Continental Europe whilst working closely with the current wholesale specialists, based in Frankfurt and Zurich.
Kyd-Rebenburg will report to Mandy Mannix, head of Client Service and Distribution. He starts on 13 October and will be based in F&C’s Munich office.
Mandy Mannix, head of Client Service and Distribution at F&C Investments, said: “Georg has an impressive track record and solid understanding of the Continental European wholesale marketplace. He is very well placed to help drive our wholesale distribution strategy in the region and has joined at an exciting time in F&C’s development, with the recent acquisition by BMO providing the business with a unique opportunity to accelerate our growth plan.
“We have invested in a number of significant hires within our client management and distribution team in the last year, with a view to growing the business on a global scale as part of BMO Global Asset Management. With Georg’s direction, and with more hires planned for our wholesale distribution team in Europe, the business will be in an even stronger position to cater to the investment needs of our clients and prospects.”
F&C Investments has distributions teams covering its institutional and wholesale businesses in Continental Europe. Its offices in Continental Europe are located in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Lisbon and Zurich. F&C is part of BMO Global Asset Management that has 24 offices in 14 countries, serving clients across five continents.
