People Moves: AXA IM departures, Barings rehires, Jefferies gains from Nomura

Two former Nomura real estate equity research analysts have moved to securities and investment banking firm Jefferies, taking on similar roles at senior level.

Both based in London and focusing on UK real estate equity research, Michael Prew is a managing director and senior analyst at the firm while Robbie Duncan is senior vice president and senior analyst.

At Nomura, Prew covered real estate firms as a managing director and analyst in equity research, while Duncan was an analyst in the same area. Before Nomura, Prew worked at Lehman Brothers and Duncan at Cazenove.

The hires reflect efforts by the firm to boost its real estate expertise, within research, sales, trading and investment banking.
