Spain’s CaixaBank has launched AgroBank, a new business aimed at boosting its presence in the agricultural sector.
AgroBank seeks to increase the number of CaixaBank’s clients – currently 330,000 – in the sector, where it already has a market share of 28%, with a network of 400 specialised offices.
The new bank will offer pre-authorised credit of €2.6bn, as well as specialised offices and teams and the design of new products and services.
CaixaBank also said that AgroBank will offer its clients the expertise of some 2,000 professionals specialised in the agricultural sector.
At the end of June 2014, CaixaBank’s had €14.3bn invested in the sector.
