Nordea has issued a note to investors announcing a change to the management of its Emerging Stars strategy after lead manager Jorry Rask Nøddekær decided to leave along with Michael Wang, Jerry Wu and Peter Andersen.
New lead portfolio manager is Juliana Hansveden, while Emily Leveille becomes co-portfolio manager. Hansveden joined Nordea AM in 2014 and worked as co-portfolio manager on the Emerging Stars strategy. Leveille joined the Emerging Starts team in 2015, with a background as an analyst on emerging markets, particularly Latin America.
The core team going forward will also include Jakob Zierau. He is a portfolio manager in the Emerging Market team managing the Global Frontier Markets strategy. He joined Nordea AM’s Fundamental Equity business area in 2012 as an analyst covering the Middle East and North Africa.
The Emerging Stars core team will continue to rely on a team of some 14 analyst who are specialised in emerging markets regions and global sectors. And it will continue to collaborate with Nordea AM’s ESG analysis team.
According to FE data, the Nordea 1 Emerging Stars Equity E USD is a $4.2bn Sicav fund, domiciled in Luxembourg.
