The Supervisory Board of Bethmann Bank intends to appoint Michael Pleske to the executive board. The former chief representative and chief risk officer thus replaces Michael Arends, who has been a member of the body since 2013 and will now leave the private bank at his own request. Pleske’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
Pleske has been working at Bethmann Bank since 1993. During this time, he has built up the risk, compliance and legal departments and has been responsible for leading positions. His management duties also extended to the other businesses of Bethmann’s parent company ABN Amro in Germany. Pleske is currently the chief representative and divisional director for risk, compliance and law at Bethmann.
Hans Hanegraaf, CEO of Bethmann Bank AG said: “Pleske understanding of the specific concerns of private banking will benefit the further development of the range of services.”
Stephan Isenberg continues to belong to the board of management of Bethmann Bank.
