Oddo & Cie and Messier Maris & Associés (MMA) are joining forces in the area of market issuance in France, the companies announced.
Oddo & Cie is a Franco-German financial services group, providing investment banking and asset management services.
It is in particular active in mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets (IPOs, capital increases and reclassification of blocks of securities), debt capital markets (financial advisory and restructuring, bond issues, high yield, private placements) and financial engineering.
Messier Maris & Associés (MMA) specialises in mergers & acquisitions, restructuring and debt advisory services for corporate players, family-owned businesses and private equity groups.
The deal will enable Oddo & Cie to benefit from MMA’s access to the executive leaders of leading French companies (corporate, public or family-owned- and especially those of the SBF 120) in addition to the main private equity funds operating in France.
In return, MMA will have access to the research produced by Oddo as well as its expertise in structuring and its distribution platform.
Both firms said this partnership has no impact on the ownership structure of either company. It is understood France is first concerned by the deal and that Germany will follow.
The agreement will also extend the reach of both companies’ US businesses.
