The Spanish manager CaixaBank Asset Management (Caixabank AM) has appointed Jorge Colomer as head of its newly-created division Investment Solutions.
The division will be mainly responsible – alongside CaixaBank – for managing all investment solutions proposed by the manager for the bank’s Premier Banking and Private Banking units.
Although some teams including that managing sicav and multi-product portfolios, or private banking funds managing team will be integrated into the new division, the business strategy of the sicav and the multi-product portfolios team will remain under the commercial area’s management.
Jorge Colomer, who joins CaixaBank Investment Solutions from UBS – where he was head of sales -, will report to general director of investments Guillermo Hermida – who will also be in charge for the investments’ global coordination and product innovation.
Colomer, who previously worked as CEO and general director of UBS Gestión, will be heading now the new division.
CaixaBank AM also announced that its fixed income and equity division led by Carmen Lumbreras, is adding the management of mixed products and will be renamed Gestión Activa.
