Geneva-headquartered Pictet Wealth Management has strengthened its fund selection unit with the hire of Angela Perez-Palacin, InvestmentEurope has learned.
The team led by Pictet’s head of Fund Selection Mussie Kidane now tallies six analysts. The appointment of Perez-Palacin follows that of Olivier Gugi who joined from Lombard Odier.
Perez-Palacin was previously a director and senior credit strategist at private bank Coutts in Zurich she joined in 2013. Prior to that, she was a senior analyst and portfolio manager for a wealth management boutique in Andorra.
She has also held roles in investment banking at HSBC and Deutsche Bank. Perez-Palacin started her career as senior financial auditor at PwC.
The fund selection unit of Pictet Wealth Management is responsible for over CHF17bn (€16bn) in assets under management.
