Cologne based Sal. Oppenheim has announced the appointment of investment strategist Lars Edler and portfolio manager Frank Kosiolek (pictured) to jointly take over the position of Chief Investment Officer as of 1 April.
As co-CIO and head of Investment Strategy, Edler will be in charge of tactical investment decisions in the institutional asset- and private wealth management.
Edler has been with Sal. Oppenheim since 2007, having previously worked as portfolio manager of balanced and multi-asset funds. Edler has been head of Investment Strategy since 2013.
Kosiolek will be co-CIO and head of Portfolio Management, in his role, he will be responsible for investment decisions on the portfolio level for institutional asset- and private wealth management. He has been with Sal Oppenheim since 1994, having worked among others in the development of Long/ Short Portfolios and Total Return Products.
Since 2013, he has been in charge of the entire Portfolio Management division, including investment processes in equities, bonds, currencies as well as fund selection and strategic asset allocation.
The team replaces current CIO Wolfgang Leoni, who remains with the group and will now focus on his position of chairman of the board, which he holds since three years.
