Paris-headquartered Comgest has announced its current CEO Vincent Strauss will be retiring from his executive and portfolio management roles at the firm to join the supervisory committee of Comgest Global Investors (CGI) in 2016.
He will remain a shareholder of the firm.
Current CIO Arnaud Cosserat (pictured) will replace Strauss as from 1 March 2016. He will remain CIO and portfolio manager.
Cosserat joined Comgest in 1996 as a European equity portfolio manager and has over 27 years’ industry experience.
He was appointed as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in January 2015 and prior to this, spent two years as Deputy CIO, overseeing the implementation of Comgest’s quality growth style across all portfolios managed by the 39- investment team.
Comgest said the daily portfolio management responsibilities for the Global Emerging Markets team will be managed by Wojciech Stanislawski, who has worked alongside Strauss since 1999, and Emil Wolter.
David Raper and Charles Biderman will be listed as co-portfolio managers/advisers of the Magellan and Comgest Growth Emerging Markets public funds.
Juliette Alves and Caroline Maes will be added as investment advisers of the Comgest Growth GEM Promising Companies fund, alongside the existing investment advisers, Wojciech Stanislawski and Galina Besedina.
Comgest’s assets under management reach €21.6bn as at 30 June 2015.
