Spanish funds receive €8.2bn inflows in Q1 2018

Spanish asset management industry body Inverco reports that assets under management (AUM) of Spanish funds amounted to some €269bn in March, up by 2.3% quarter-on-quarter.

Global funds topped the list increasing their AUM by over €1bn in March – by €4.61bn in the first quarter -, followed by equity funds with €175m received and a 6.5% increase in Q1.  Conversely, passively managed funds and fixed income products saw their AUM fall by €386m and €265m respectively.

Although global equity funds lost up to €220m in March, they received up to €600m of net inflows.

Spanish funds have received €1.41bn of net inflows in March and some €8.2bn in the first quarter, representing a rise of 30% compared with the same period of 2017.
