London-headquartered firm Neptune Investment Management has appointed former AXA IM global head of Fixed Income Theodora Zemek (pictured) to the newly-created role of Head of Fixed Income Strategy.
Zemek will oversee Neptune’s fixed income strategy and research globally. She will be reporting to CEO Robin Geffen and working closely with James Dowey, Neptune’s chief economist and CIO.
Currently a non-executive director of BlackRock Global Investors UK, Zemek tallies over 30 years’ experience in fund management. During her five-year stint at AXA IM, Zemek was responsible for a team of 130 overseeing €380bn in fixed income and money market investments. Prior to her tenure at AXA IM, she had been head of Fixed Income at New Star Investment Management as well as CIO and global head of Fixed Income at M&G Investment Management.
Other fund management roles were with James Capel Fund Managers, the United Bank of Kuwait Investment Managers, Orion Royal Bank, the Swiss Bank Corporation, and Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb.
