Amanda Sillars and David Lewis start their respective roles for Jupiter’s Merlin funds, which include income and growth funds, on 18 May 2011.

Sillars joins as fund selection specialist, moving from an investment and executive director position within JP Morgan Asset Management. For that role she oversaw approximately 500 equity and multi-asset segregated accounts, institutional funds and investment trusts, led the bank’s Europe, Middle East and North Africa corporate governance team, and was a trustee of the JPMC UK retirement plan.

Sillars held various other roles at the bank over a period of 15 years, 10 of which were spent as a fund analyst and vice president at JP Morgan Private Bank and Flemings. There she was lead analyst, selecting and investing in equity long-only mutual funds for European private banking clients.

Lewis becomes assistant fund manager in the Merlin funds team, moving from Jupiter’s private clients and charities division where he occupied a similar role since February 2010.

Sillars and Lewis join John Chatfeild-Roberts, Peter Lawery and Algy Smith-Maxwell, who have worked together for 11 years to develop Jupiter’s fund of fund franchise.

Northern Trust

Two senior appointments were made at Northern Trust, to help the firm expand its investment outsourcing, fund administration and accounting business in Australia and New Zealand.

Nadia Ivanova (pictured) was promoted to head of global fund services for Australasia, and Vicki Martyn joined as senior relationship manager.
