Delta Lloyd has announced the appointment of Clifford Abrahams (pictured) to the position of CFO as of January 2015.
His appointment follows the resignation of Emiel Roozen in August this year. Roozen resigned after a Dutch court upheld a €22.8m imposed by the Dutch Central Bank DNB for allegedly using insider information to make a rate change.
Abrahams joins Delta Lloyd from Aviva Investors, where he currently holds the position of CFO. Prior to that, he worked among others as managing director at Morgan Stanley.
Aviva is currently a majority shareholder in Delta Loyd and Abrahams has previously contributed to the IPO of the Dutch insurer in 2009.
Abrahams appointment has already been approved by the Dutch Central Bank and Financial Markets Authority as well as the board of governors at Delta Lloyd.
