Groupama AM ramps up ESG efforts

Paris-based Groupama Asset Management has appointed its research chief Marie-Pierre Peillon as head of Environmental, Social and Governance Research and Strategy while Aurélie de Barochez is responsible for the integration of ESG criteria in the firm’s strategies.

Groupama AM seeks to deepen and render more visible the integration of ESG criteria in its investment decisions and provide an offering that matches the evolution of its client demand.

Peillon started her career as financial analyst at Concorde Finance in 1986 before joining Viel group as intermediary on fixed income markets. She later worked for insurer Gan as from 1988 as fixed income credit analyst.

In 2000, she became responsible for developing the credit and equity research unit of Groupama AM, adding extra financial analysis as from 2003, before being appointed head of Research in 2012.

de Barochez is with Groupama AM since 2015, having joined as extra-financial and financial analyst, focusing on energy and the environmental pillar of ESG.

Formerly, she was an analyst at Novethic, responsible for the labeling of SRI funds. She started her career in 2011 as SRI analyst at Generali then Agicam in 2011.
