Italy’s Anima is set to merge two smaller mutual funds into its Euro Bond strategy.

The Soul Target 2019 Plus fund and the Soul Target 2019 Plus II will be merged into the Anima Euro Bond Class.

According to the fund’s prospectus, the Anima Euro Bond Class fund seeks to provide an attractive rate of return, investing primarily in euro denominated floating and fixed rate government bonds listed or traded on any recognised Exchanges.

The merger of the sub-funds, managed by Gianluca Ferretti, was decided by Anima’s board of directors last November and responds to the achievement of the time frame of the two strategies.
