Luyet will lead a new team comprising more than 20 experienced customer relationship managers and specialists in lending, investment advisory and financial planning.

The expansion is part of the Sarasin Group’s growth strategy and sets a clear signal for its home market of Switzerland, a statement said.

Bas Rijke, head Geneva Location, said the team included Henri Berchtold, Franco Fortunato and Jean-Christophe Bauer and the bank would now be ideally positioned to provide a holistic service to increasingly discerning Swiss private clients.

Luyet is a Swiss citizen living in Geneva. He has an MBA in Political Science from the University of Geneva, a Federal Diploma in Finance and is a Certified Investment Expert AZEK/CFPI.

After graduating, he spent 13 years with UBS in Geneva, where he was in charge of Private Banking in Nyon.

From 2001 onwards he worked for Credit Suisse in Lausanne and Geneva, most recently as Deputy Head Private Banking for the Geneva region.
