The Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has authorised the launch of Nao Sustainable Asset Management, a firm following environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investment principles.
Nao Sustainable Asset Management, the first manager in Spain managing all its funds with ESG criteria, will be based in Valencia.
Former Bankinter equity manager Pablo Cano Escoriaza will be the new firm’s investment director, which counts on Zriser Group as its main shareholder. Zriser Group is Pablo and Ana Serratosa Luján’s family office based in Valencia.
Nao Sustainable Asset Management has unveiled that its first strategy will be a European equity fund, followed by the launch of a sustainable mixed fund.
Pablo Cano, the new firm’s investment director, previously worked as equity manager at Bankinter for more than four years. Prior to that, he worked at Aviva, first as an equity manager, and later, as the firm’s equity director in Spain.
