Deutsche Bank WM bolsters its southern Spanish arms

Deutsche Bank Wealth Management (Deutsche Bank WM) has appointed Gonzalo Jiménez-Fontes del Rey as regional director for Andalusia and Extremadura.

With over 20 years’ private banking experience – mainly in Andalusia – , Jiménez-Fontes del Rey (pictured) will be now responsible for leading the company’s growth across the two southern Spanish regions. He will report to Luis Antoñanzas, who heads both the Spanish and the Portuguese Wealth Management divisions.

Jiménez-Fontes del Rey joins Deutsche Bank WM from Bankinter where he worked for over 15 years, coming to be director of the private banking units in Seville and Huelva (Andalusia) during ten years. Prior to that, he worked as head of Morgan Stanley in Cadiz (Andalusia) after having worked at the investment firm AB Asesores.

Luis Antoñanzas, currently heading the Iberia Wealth Management divisions, said: “Jiménez-Fontes del Rey’s appointment – as regional director for Andalusia and Extremadura – enables us to further consolidating and boosting the Group’s large assets business in the area. His extensive experience will help us to continue offering a high quality service in integral management. “
