Axiom Alternative Investments makes London push

French asset manager Axiom Alternative Investments has announced the appointments of Laurent Henrio as portfolio manager and Antonio Roman as research analyst, to support the development and diversification of Axiom’s growing London office and fund range.
Henrio, who brings 16 years of experience in credit trading to the role, joins Axiom from Société Générale, which he joined in 2011 as an exotic credit and CDS trader before being named global head of Credit Trading activities in early 2017. He began his career in 2002 at Icmos Pangea Global Hedge Fund as a quantitative analyst in the Emerging Credit Trading Department, before moving to JPMorgan Chase in 2003 as vice president of Structuring and Pricing of Credit Derivatives, where he remained until 2010.
At Axiom, Henrio will be responsible for managing the new Axiom Synthetic Credit Opportunity Fund; the latest fund in Axiom’s product range, which is expected to launch in the new year.
Roman joins Axiom as an analyst to its London research team, responsible for developing quantitative models under Solvency II and Basel III.
Roman started his career at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in 2016, where he focused on building optimal investment solutions for institutional clients with unique economic, regulatory and accounting constraints. In 2017, he took a position as a quantitative analyst at JP Morgan Asset Management, where he enhanced his insurance knowledge through the development of portfolio optimisation tools under Solvency II.
