CBRE Global Investors appointed Laurie Lagarde as portfolio manager. Lagarde will be overseeing portfolio strategy and performance of pooled funds dedicated to logistics in Continental Europe. These include the European Industrial Fund (EIF), a perpetual fund which owns a portfolio of logistics assets in France, Germany, Benelux, Iberia and Italy.
Lagarde joins CBRE Global Investors from Prologis where she was a vice president transactions officer for seven years. She was in charge of all acquisitions and dispositions of logistics assets for Southern Europe and brings a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role.
Pierre-David Baylac, fund manager of logistics funds, CBRE Global Investors said: “It’s fantastic that Lagarde will join us as portfolio manager for our logistics funds. Logistics is an important asset class in our firm and we are keen to invest in talent to further expand on our expertise in this field.”
Lagarde added: “It is a new challenge and I’m excited to join a company which shares the same ambitions as me. Having worked in logistics and real estate for over the last 16 years, I look forward to building on my experience to help the company manage and invest in more successful logistics assets across Europe.”
Lagarde has also previously worked for AMB as a project manager, in charge of managing new developments in France and she has worked in London for five years, as the Head of Purchasing in the UK for French construction company, Bouygues.
She is a chartered surveyor MRICS and a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply MCIPS. Lagarde is based in Paris and will report to Pierre-David Baylac.
