In the aftermath of Romain Boscher’s departure to Fidelity International, French asset manager Amundi has announced two appointments within its equity division.
Diego Franzin (pictured), having joined the group in the aftermath of Pioneer Investments’ acquisition by Amundi last year, has been named head of Equity Investment Platform. Since June 2017, he was co-head of Equities with Boscher and prior to that, held roles of head of Equities, Europe and head of Global Quantitative Research and Management at Pioneer Investments.
Amundi also announced the promotion of Alexandre Drabowicz (pictured left) to the role of deputy head of Equity Investment Platform, covering European equity, volatility, convertible bonds, Japanese equity, and global equity.
Drabowicz joined the French manager in 2008 as an investment specialist focusing on volatility and convertibles before becoming head of Development and Investment Specialists.
Formerly, he served at hedge fund Systeia Capital Management, owned by Amundi, as deputy manager of the firm’s global macro fund and head of Trading, Systematic and Statistical Hedge Funds. He also held roles with Société Générale’s futures brokerage division Société Générale Securities North Pacific in Tokyo.
Amundi manages €1.4trn of assets as of 31 December 2017.
