French reg names head of Fintech, Innovation and Competition Division

Domitille Dessertine (pictured left) has been named head of the Fintech, Innovation and Competition Division at French financial markets regulator AMF.

She will follow on and contribute to European and international initiatives resulting from the European commission action plan for fintechs.

Succeeding Franck Guiader, Dessertine has taken part to the creation of the unit in May 2016. She has been a member of AMF’s directorate of regulation and international affairs since five years.

Dessertine has taken part to several European and international negotiations on asset management-related topics, such as the reform of money market funds that will be implemented as from 21 July 2018.

She was also involved in the launch of the French regulator’s public consultation on initial coin offerings resulting in the Unicorn program, which has led to some 50 meetings with ICO projects promoters.
