VAM Funds has appointed former head of Driehaus Capital Management, Robert Gordon, as a director of both VAM Funds (Lux) and VAM Managed Funds (Lux). His appointment is subject to CSSF and shareholder approval.
Gordon is well known as a leading authority on mutual funds in the US, with previous roles including chief operating officer at ARIS Capital Management and co-president and CEO of Bank of America Capital Management, where he held responsibility for a team of 700 investment professionals.
Most recently, he was president and CEO of Driehaus Capital Management, a boutique investment house based in Chicago which manages circa $8.5bn in traditional and alternative investments.
VAM Funds currently offers a range of single strategy funds managed by Driehaus, as well as its Driehaus-advised, actively managed global equity fund.
Earlier this year, VAM Group also appointed industry veteran David Cockerton as group development director and Helen Holmes as investment director.
