Eric Pinon (pictured), chairman of the French asset management association AFG since May 2017, has joined Paris-based boutique La Financière de l’Echiquier (LFDE) as senior advisor.
In his new position, Pinon will advise and support the firm’s chairman and chief executive officer Didier Le Menestrel on the development of a partnership strategy towards asset managers and French IFAs.
Pinon joins from Acer Finance where he served as deputy CEO in charge of clients, compliance and internal control.
Formerly, he founded Europe Egide Finance in 1989 which was purchased by KBL France in 2003. Pinon started his career at brokerage firm Michel Puget.
Le Menestrel underlined Pinon’s peer recognition and experienced. The company’s chairman and CEO said Pinon will help positioning LFDE as a player of the ongoing consolidation trend in the asset management industry.
LFDE has over €8bn in assets under management.
