Former Mondi CEO David Hathorn has been appointed as a non-executive director to the board of advisory and fund administration firm Maitland, where he will also act as chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee of Maitland International Holdings plc.
Hathorn was CEO of Mondi for 17 years until May 2017. He led the group through a demerger from Anglo American in 2007. Based in South Africa, he is also chairman of Kore Potash Limited, an ASX-listed company.
Hathorn’s appointment follows that in 2015 of Maureen Erasmus, also to a NED position – an advisory partner at management consultant Bain & Company.
Maitland was founded in Luxembourg in 1976, and now counts some 1,400 staff in 17 offices in 13 countries. It claims over $280bn in assets under administration.
