Exclusive: AllianzGI appoints European equity PM

Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) has appointed Christophe Hautin to the role of European equity portfolio manager at the beginning of August, InvestmentEurope can reveal.
Contacted, the firm told InvestmentEurope that Hautin “has no direct responsibility for the management of any specific fund for the moment.”
“He is a contributor to the investment process of the European Equity Conviction investment strategy,” AllianzGI added.
Based in AllianzGI’s Paris office, Hautin is bringing his input to the strategy’s investment process and works in particular on the integration of ESG risks.
From 2015 to 2018, he was the product specialist for the European Equity Conviction strategy, having gained experience in the equity markets through the position.
Hautin joined Allianz Global Investors as a risk manager in 2012, focusing on investment risks. Prior to that, he was a risk manager at US-based asset manager TCW and worked in various functions for Société Générale.
The AllianzGI Europe Conviction Equity fund, managed by Stefano Ghiro, had €138.3m of assets under management as of 7 August 2018.
