The visibility of Seilern Investment Management in the UK market has advanced through the admission of three of its funds to the Investment Association’s classification system.
This comes as the manager has also launched ‘clean’ share classes for its funds, which facilitate investor access through platforms across Continental Europe and the UK.
The funds classified by the IA are: Seilern Stryx World Growth (Global sector),Seilern Stryx Europa (Europe Including UK), and Seilern Stryx America (North America).
The clean shares are offered at 0.85% cost when purchased through distributors in the UK and the Continent.
Cassie Sereda, head of Business Development at Seilern Investment Management, said the changes targeted business beyond the institutional investors that hitherto have been the main owners of the funds.
“Both our long-term and more recent fund performance is gathering interest from funds of funds and private client managers as well as pension funds and their consultants. This is an important step to putting our funds on a level playing field with similar funds in the UK. We have, with immediate effect, had positive inflows through Transact and will be looking to set up wider platform availability as demand dictates.”
All three funds are in the top quartile in sterling terms on a 24-36 month basis, according to data from FE Trustnet, cited by Seilern.
