Swiss asset management company Vontobel AM has appointed Thierry Larose (pictured) within its bond team, focusing on local currency bonds, to bolster its emerging market bond capabilities.
Larose joins Degroof Petercam Asset Management in Brussels, where he spent ten years as an emerging market portfolio manager. Among others, he managed the Emerging Market Sustainable Bonds fund.
Prior to that, he was the founder and CEO of Brazilian firm InBelFlu Participações e Investimentos and held director positions at HSBC Bank in London and Crédit Commercial de France in Brussels.
“Thierry’s appointment shows our strong commitment to providing our investors with the very best portfolio managers in emerging market debt. Thierry’s track record is recognized throughout the industry and his expertise in local currency bonds is an important addition to our team,” said Luc D’hooge, head of Emerging Markets Bonds at Vontobel AM.
