Paris-based asset manager Erasmus Gestion has launched the Erasmus Micro Cap fund on 15 December 2017, InvestmentEurope can reveal.
The fund is managed by Aymeric Lang, who joined the firm in November 2017 from Berenberg where he was an equity research associate focusing on mid caps in France and Benelux.
The Erasmus Micro Cap fund seeks to outperform the MSCI EMU Micro Cap Dividends Reinvested over a five-year rolling period by investing in small and micro caps of the eurozone.
Its investment approach blends a top-down analysis to define the exposure to the market and a bottom-up analysis to select stocks within investment themes.
At least 75% of the fund is invested in companies with a market cap under €350m, a staff of less than 5,000 people as well as a turnover not exceeding €1.5bn.
Up to 10% of the vehicle’s net assets could be invested in equities other than eurozone stocks, bonds, money market instruments and other funds.
