Exclusive: Lyxor fund selector joins Bettencourt family holding

Fund analyst Clément Chaulot has left Lyxor Asset Management to join Tethys Invest, the investment fund of the Bettencourt-Meyers family, main shareholder of cosmetics giant L’Oréal, InvestmentEurope can reveal.

Chaulot started in March 2018 at Tethys Invest as analyst and portfolio manager.

Prior to that, he served as a fund analyst within Lxyor’s fund selection and solutions team from September 2014. There, he analysed fixed income (investment grade, flexible, diversified and unconstrained funds, convertibles) and multi-asset funds.

Tethys Invest was established in 2016 with the aim of diversifying the investments of the Bettencourt-Meyers family and is led by Alexandre Benais.

Forbes estimated at $42.2bn the wealth of Françoise Bettencourt-Meyers, unique heiress of L’Oréal’s founder daughter Liliane Bettencourt, who passed away in September 2017.
