BNY Mellon hires head of digital

BNY Mellon has hired Roman Regelman as senior executive vice president and head of Digital, effective 17 September 2018.

Regelman will report to chairman and chief executive officer, Charles W. Scharf, and will join the firm’s executive committee, BNY Mellon’s senior-most governing body.

In this position, he will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the firm’s digital future and investing in client and internal digital capabilities, including data management, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotics. He will build a new global team across the company, developing and attracting top digital talent.

Regelman brings over 25 years of experience in digital, operations and management consulting and launched several fintechs. Most recently, he was partner and managing director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he co-led their Financial Institutions Digital business. Prior to BCG, he drove Booz and Company’s Transformation business in financial services.
