Paris-headquartered asset manager La Française has appointed Luigi Brunetti as country head Italy with the aim of expanding the firm’s business in the country.

Brunetti joins from Raffeisen Capital Management where he was a senior sales manager. Prior to that, he was business development director at Aviva Investors, responsible for the institutional and retail segments as well as a wide range of investment solutions: hedge funds, Ucits, real estate funds and other asset management services.

Brunetti began his career in 2000 with ING Group as account manager. In 2002, he moved to Aletti Gestielle as senior relationship manager before being promoted to the role of head of Retail Business Development.

“With seventeen years of experience in the asset management industry, occupying senior investor relations positions, covering both the retail and institutional segments, Luigi’s knowledge of the Italian market will be crucial in achieving our development objectives,” said Andrea Bertocchini, head of Northern Europe, Benelux & Italy at La Française.

La Française had €58bn in assets under management as of 30 September 2016.
