Hermes IM names fixed income chief

London-based Hermes Investment Management has appointed Andrew Jackson as head of Fixed Income.

Based in London, he will report to Eoin Murray, head of Investment. Jackson will be responsible for leading the strategic development of the credit and direct lending investment teams as well as for developing a global multi-asset credit offering for pension funds and other long-term institutional investors.

Furthermore, Jackson will also sit on the Hermes Strategy Group, contributing to the development of the business.

Jackson joins from Cairn Capital where he was CIO, head of Investment Committee & senior member of the executive management committee.

Among other he was responsible for the development of the asset management business.

Prior to that, Jackson was vice president, European credit structuring at Bank of America, and has held roles with Fitch Ratings and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Hermes Investment Management has £30.6bn (€36.1bn) of assets under management.
