Belgian firm Degroof Petercam has appointed Joachim Van der Meiren as investment and portfolio management analyst for its family office department launched in April 2017, InvestmentEurope has learned.
It is understood Van der Meiren started in March. Among responsibilities as analyst, he will be involved in investment strategy analysis, portfolio manager selection, portfolio monitoring and structuring, alternative investment advisory.
Degroof Petercam’s family office department is headed by Thomas Peperstraete and serves ultra-high-net-worth clients through a wide range of services from asset allocation and portfolio management to art investments, administration, accountancy.
The Belgian financial group recently promoted Benoît Ruelle as head of Third-Party Funds Selection within its asset management division.
