Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM) has announced a triple hire within its multi-asset solutions team based in London.
Eddie Cheng has joined the company as head of International Portfolio Management, Multi-Asset Solutions team, reporting to Nico Marais, president of WFAM and head of Multi-Asset Solutions.
Cheng focuses on managing absolute return and alternative risk premia strategies and works alongside Wai Lee, head of research for the Multi-Asset Solutions team to support the expansion of Wells Fargo’s Asian business. Cheng served previously in the multi-asset team of Schroders as a senior portfolio manager.
Chenfei Ma and Stephane Renevier also joined WFAM’s multi-asset solutions team, the former as an investment analyst and the latter as a portfolio manager. Both most recently worked on the multi-asset team at Schroders and report to Cheng.
“The addition of Eddie, Chenfei and Stephane to our team not only strengthens our capabilities in the area of machine learning but further deepens the team’s experience as we aim to deliver best-in-class absolute return and alternative risk premia strategies to our clients. These new team members bring a depth of experience to our multi-asset platform as we strive to create solutions that address the complex and changing needs of our clients,” said Nico Marais.
WFAM had more than $497bn (€429.9bn) in assets under management as of end March 2018.
